Company: Paul Davis
Presentation Topic: Ethics and Management
Speaker: Corrina Smith
RIBO Hours: 1 Hour - Ethics/1 Hour - Management
  • Ethics: Ethics and Insurance - Decision Making Tools
    • This interactive, participant-driven course reviews the differences between ethics, morals, and values. Then the course delves into some of the various branches of ethics. Participants will learn about Meta Ethics, Normative Ethics, Applied Ethics, Moral Ethics, and Descriptive Ethics. Each branch will be defined with participants giving insight into how each branch can be observed. Finally, participants will look back at previous examples and, using a checklist, determine if they are confident in the decision that was made for each scenario.
  • Management: Commercial Disaster Planning
    • This course will review the phases of disaster management, emergency action plans and how to devise an emergency action plan and guidelines for a successful plan. The phases of disaster management include preparedness response, mitigation, and recovery. Each phase is discussed, and we expand on these topics. The course focuses on Disaster Planning for business. While we cannot always prevent disasters and emergencies, in some cases we can help to minimize damage. We can also plan for how to handle communications, safety and survival until the emergency or disaster has passed or been repaired
