The IBAO is hosting an Errors & Omissions Loss Control seminar on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, in Hamilton in the morning and evening.
IBAH offers the Level l RIBO Course (Basic Brokers Preparation) throughout the year. You can participate in this course either in-class or online - whatever is best for you.
The Level 1 Basic Broker Preparation Course satisfies the Basic Broker Skill Requirements as established by the Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO).
** If you are registering AFTER the course deadline, $125 will be added as a late fee. **

ONLINE After you complete the form on this page, and you will be taken to a new page where you can make your payment online via credit card or PayPal.
ONLINE OR IN-CLASS You can choose how you would like to attend this course. There are two options available, you can join online or you can join in class. In-class takes place at the Insurance Institute of Ontario - Hamilton/ Niagara (1439 Upper Ottawa St, Hamilton, ON L8W 3J6).
REGISTRATION ACCEPTANCE To register for a course, a completed registration form must be received, with payment in full (to IBAH) prior to the start date. Courses are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
PAYMENT OPTIONS Certified cheque, money order or MasterCard, VISA, American Express, and PayPal.
DEADLINES The cut-off for registration is ten (10) business days prior to the start date. Late registrants may be accepted space permitting; however, enrolment may be subject to a late registration fee.
TRANSFERS Transfers from one program to another or from one individual to another are permitted but there is a transfer fee of $75.00 depending on the circumstances.
CANCELLATION Written notice (email accepted) must be received prior to the start of the date. A full refund is granted when IBAH receives notice more than fourteen (14) business days prior to the start date; however, there is a $125.00 processing fee. No refunds are granted on or after the start date. The penalty for insufficient notice is at the discretion of the IBAH.
TEXTBOOKS Once textbooks have been received, they are non-refundable. The textbook fee is $160.00. Our course uses the IBAO text Fundamentals of Insurance textbook.
FEES Licensing and RIBO accredited programs are tax exempt. Member Fee $650.00 & Non-Member Fee $870.00. Fees are subject to change without prior notice.
EXAM FEES $250.00 exam fee payable online or to the IBAH.
NSF & BANKING FEES - All bank charges incurred are the applicant’s responsibility.
Note: it’s the student’s responsibility to become familiar with the Registration Policy prior to enrolment. Please keep a copy of the registration information for your records.
